See who you are!

"Ok so here it is. If you believe in Jesus, you pass from death to life. This new creature, this new creation is regenerated and renewed. It is a new life. This new nature lives for God, the old nature was bent towards sin, the new nature made alive to God is bent towards life, light and goodness. The most underestimated aspect of the Christian experience has been the degree at which we are changed at the point of being born again. We are literally a new breed on the planet, something that did not exist before the cross.

We are filled with all the power of God. We are placed in Christ and co-seated with Him. The effect of the new nature is that we live differently. We sin less for who we are has changed. And the clearer we see who we are, the more we will live as we truly are. The old has passed away. It’s critical that we see ourselves as we truly are. One of the most staggering scriptures in the bible is in 1 John it says “as he is so are we in this world”. Now this belief in who you are simply cannot be understated for “as a man thinks in his heart, so is he”. What you think about yourself, will be your reality.

Even amongst secular physiologists and motivational speakers, they agree. How you see yourself determines how you behave. I remember in business they said “dress like a professional, speak like a professional, believe you are one, and you will be one!” and it is true. See who you are. You are a new creature, a holy creature, a powerful creature. A creature dedicated to God at its very core, a creature madly in love with the giver of life. A creature of light, a creature of anointing. You can do all things through Christ who strengthens you. You can do anything you want! What do you want to do?

Just wondering if in the first sentence it should say 'from death to life'...........anyway, do by any chance know the reference to the verse that says "as a man thinks in his heart, so he is." That's a powerful one!!

Amen and amen again Craig!!

That verse is 1 John 4:17.

Thank you for putting the truth out there, God's word never returns to Him empty.

This is sooo true...

Actually God made it so simple to live the Christian Life. It is just by beholding Jesus and being transformed supernaturally.

2 Cor 3:18: But we all, with unveiled face, beholding as in a mirror the glory of the Lord, are being transformed into the same image from glory to glory, just as from the Lord, the Spirit.

For the longest time I was finding something to love about myself before and after I was saved. When I was saved I continued to keep looking at myself in the mirror and kept seeing if I had become a better person. However, still i didn't see a whole big transformation. I told God that I am now a New Creation why isn't it that I cannot see the transformation??

One day the Lord spoke to me to stop looking at myself. Stop finding a reason to love yourself. Lose yourself in me and you'll see your new self. At that it automatically became so simple. We manifest the new creation just by beholding Jesus. Not beholding and working it out on our own but it's something so supernatural I can't explain. Beholding our Lord, fellow shipping with him and just somehow we'll all be transformed from glory to glory. Grace did it all. All we have to do is believe.

John 6:28-29: Then they asked him, "What must we do to do the works God requires?" Jesus answered, "The work of God is this: to believe in the one he has sent."

Haha sorry for the long comment. Be blessed my brothers and sisters :)

Hey everyone, just wanted to say I just looked up Gracelife church and listened to Renewing the mind. AWESOME!Finally got to put a 'voice' behind the name & blog Craig! Behaviour modification is generic holiness and sanctification as you put in so many words when nothing in the New Covenant says "Change behaviour," but rather "be transformed by the renewing of the mind." I just recently mentioned that a few nights ago I kept hearing in my sleep, all night long, "The righteousness of the law is fulfilled 'IN' YOU, 'not BY' you. How powerful and in line with "See who you are!" We are the perfection in the spirit of what the law demanded! In reference to Jonyeewei's comment to "with unveiled face, Beholding the glory (Jesus) and being changed into the same image from glory to glory" I believe that that 'unveiled face' is the inner mans ability by revelation to see the lights & perfections of who we are In Christ because 'the veil' of the law has been removed off of our hearts to where we can now see with 'unveiled faces,' no longer blind to the Perfection of Jesus and for a believer, what is true about Jesus, is true about us! To really believe that "I am the righteousness of God in Christ, therefore I AM THE PERFECTION THE LAW DEMANDED" removes any and all of the 'what IF's' that try to block our receiving what is rightfully belonging to us as the righteousness of God by the ONE AND FOR ALL sacrifice of Jesus! We inherit all the promises of God in Christ because like Abraham, "Right believing" gave us the inheritance of the promises made to him, and as his seed, because we are counted righteous by our faith in Jesus Christ, the 'promised seed,' our 'behaviour' has "NOTHING TO DO WITH OUR INHERITING THE PROMISES MADE TO US," being righteous by faith in Jesus, not righteous by performance to the law, no, by the new birth, being born again, WE ARE THE PERFECTION THE LAW DEMANDED in the spirit man, and the "Righteousness of the law IS FULFILLED 'IN' US, not 'By' us because we have the "Spirit of Christ," the perfection the law demanded!
