ummmm (hahaha)....well let's see, since, through the law, sin is INCREASED...and Matt 22 shows Jesus explaining which commandment is the greatest in THE LAW, His reply would suggest that any self righteous effort by man to try and attain to loving Christ with absolutely all of heart, mind and soul, will infact result in the MOST sin...(hahaha :-))
"You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind. Mat 22:38 This is the great and first commandment. Mat 22:39 And a second is like it: You shall love your neighbor as yourself. Mat 22:40 On these two commandments depend all the Law and the Prophets."
how's this translation of Romans 5:20,
Romans 5:20 (The Message)
20-21All that passing laws against sin did was produce more lawbreakers. But sin didn't, and doesn't, have a chance in competition with the aggressive forgiveness we call grace. When it's sin versus grace, grace wins hands down. All sin can do is threaten us with death, and that's the end of it. Grace, because God is putting everything together again through the Messiah, invites us into life—a life that goes on and on and on, world without end.
The truth is that, he who is guilty of one of the Laws is guilty of all (James 2:10). So, if any law makes you sin more then it is all of the Law that make you sin.
The Law was given to bring man to the end of himself - to show him the hopelessness of trying to deliver himself. The Law was given to man his need of a savior - Jesus Christ.
Rom 3:19 Now we know that what things soever the law saith, it saith to them who are under the law: that every mouth may be stopped, and all the world may become guilty before God. Rom 3:20 Therefore by the deeds of the law there shall no flesh be justified in his sight: for by the law is the knowledge of sin. Rom 3:21 But now the righteousness of God without the law is manifested, being witnessed by the law and the prophets; Rom 3:22 Even the righteousness of God which is by faith of Jesus Christ unto all and upon all them that believe: for there is no difference:
Under the New Covenant of grace, we have one commandment - LOVE. He who can walk in Love (God) by the Spirit of God has fulfilled all of the Law - Rom. 13: Stay blessed. Apostle William Chinebu www.williamchinebu.org/blog

The Commandments were given to reveal sin; however, the commandment that is preached the most will stimulate the conscious toward sin in that area.
