Financial giving in the New Covenant...

"To the shame of many grace believers I must say that they are not giving as much as when they were under the law. In some stats I did I found that more than 70% of all grace believers don’t give at all and have stopped all giving. The rest of the people have unstable giving. Most in not all churches that go to grace in finances struggle tremendously after going to the freedom message."

When we were under the law we "only" gave 10%...we didn't give more because we were not required to. If we ever did give over 10% it was very sporadic, why?....because as i said we were not required to give more than 10%...our thinking was law thinking, not faith or grace thinking...NOW...under grace, we are only required to give 0%...so we give 0%...and when we do give over 0% it is very sporadic...why...because our thinking remains law thinking, not faith or grace thinking...Hence Bertie's financial poll results in grace based churches...

I remember when I got the revelation of 'love.' That is, that we could give to the poor, give our bodies to be burned but if it wasnt motivated by Gods love operating through us, it 'profits us nothing.' I slammed on the breaks against all the 'right' things I was doing including giving. I asked the Lord "Give to me a heart to give out of Your love flowing through me & deliver me from every other kind of goodness/giving." I then heard a testimony of a lady who found out that the highest form of giving is that being out of love. She then decided that she was not going to 'tithe' or 'give' except 'as she purposed in her heart,' 2Cor.9:7. That same year, she gave accordingly, 'as she purposed in her heart only,' and at the end of the year, her testimony was "My husband & I went on two vactions, eliminated some debts and had enough to put a child into college. Reviewing my end year statments, I found I gave 20 to 30% more than when I was under the teaching/preaching about how we 'should tithe & give.' I personally believe that people will 'want' to give when they hear the raw, bloody, gross & beautiful glorious & irresponsible gospel (according to religious people irresponsible). I wanted to eliminate debts to clear up money to give more. Some want to clear up money to spend more. I wanted to give a specific ministry $1000.00 by the end of the year and at the end of the year, found by my statments that I had given nearly $2800.00 to several ministries! God answered exceedingly, abundantly above what I had wanted to give. Why? People to a degree are hearing a 'responsible gospel,' not 'the gospel' such as preaching "Because of Jesus, when/if I sin, there are no more wages of death, I owe God nothing, regardless of my actions or performance, I am as equal in qantity & quality righteousness as Jesus is right now because of Jesus' obedience, I cannot sin my righteousness away anymore than as a sinner I could righteous my sins away." I dont know, nor care how opposing that sounds to unbelieving believers, but that causes like in Paul, 1Cor.15:10, 'the grace of God (containing the grace of giving in 2Cor.8) to labor in us more than others.' I believe, this is just me ok, I believe we should become more reckless, more daring, more bold, more irresponsible in preaching the gospel of grace as purely as we can by the power & revelation of the Holy Spirit. The giving issue is the lack of the revelation of grace, that empowers out of love, us in giving. Also, people who dont give believe in their heart they are poor, therefore a poor minded person cant afford to give, they are not believing the gospel, that 'Jesus became poor so they would be made rich.' Rich minded believers can afford to give and the giving is a demonstration of the wealth they already have! This is Gods gospel concerning Jesus Christ, not concerning us, He is the One who established it upon Jesus and put all of His faith & confidence in it whereas we who attempt to preach it are 'to cautious' lest we give someone the want to in sinning, which they are already doing regardless of what we preach. Lets go all out for Jesus and be absolutly reckless in abandoning ourselves to God and the consequences of His gospel, the gospel of the grace of Christ! For Jesus & the gospels sake, lets go deeper into throwing caution to the wind as we see the gospel & Jesus Christ as He & it is!
