world; but that the world through him might be saved. ( John 3:17 KJV). Jesus did not
come to give a better law than Moses. He came to give in mercy that which was far
greater than Moses could give. This is a faithful saying and worthy of all acceptation that
Christ Jesus came into the world to save sinners; of whom I am chief. (1Tim. 1:15 KJV)
Jesus could not be considered a new law-giver by the commands he spoke. He was
teaching the fuller meaning of the old Law. What Jesus said in the Sermon on the Mount
was a fulfillment of the Law of Moses. Think not that I am come to destroy the Law or the
prophets; I am not come to destroy but to fulfill (Matthew 5:17 KJV)"

Peace in the name of Jesus the Christ of God, Son of living God. Jesus was a teacher of law. We know this from where he was when Mary and Joseph found him in the temple at 12 years of age teaching the doctors of law. When we first are taught of the law is in Matt chapter 5. A greater than moses has come. A greater law giver. If moses told you this , I (Jesus) say you can fulfill the law in two commandments. Love God with all you heart, soul, mind. and strength and love thy neighbor as thyself. In those two commandments we find twice that our Lord and Savior said the answer to eternal life when he was asked by two rich young rulers who were seeking eternal life. The laws are my delight, protection and peace come from abiding in Gods law. Paul of the Gospels was himself a lawter and understood Jesus as the law and in Romans that is what the letter is about. Jesus gives us grace by abiding in the law as the word of God.
Peace john
