forgiven, once-and-for-all !!

"Knowing and believing that all of our sins (past, present, and future) have been completely forgiven through the blood of the Lamb is the doorway through which every child of God must walk before he can begin to truly understand the amazing grace of God. Trying to teach a Christian that he has a new identity in Christ, that the Holy Spirit now actually lives in him, and that his Heavenly Father loves and accepts him unconditionally will make little sense without him first believing that the sin issue between himself and God is over.

Perhaps no other aspect of our salvation in Christ has been so confusing, paralyzing, and even divisive within the body of Christ as the forgiveness of our sins. How tragic that one of the most glorious and foundational truths of the gospel has deteriorated into a perplexing doctrine that many Christians would prefer to argue was an incomplete work of our Savior rather than one that is actually "finished" (John 19:30).

Why the confusion on something so elementary and crucial to our salvation? Your enemy, the father of lies, does not want you to know and believe that you have been forgiven, once-and-for-all. Since he cannot alter your eternal destiny if you are in Christ, then he will do all he can to deceive you into thinking that your behavior is to be the primary focus of your life."

ok, let's begin with jesus died for your sins(oops, that was missing) because, that's the basis of your faith isn't it?

you say it makes sense.but does it make sense to you that god will contravene common laws such as,...we don't punish an innocent over the righteous. it is a clear misadministration of justice if we do. yet, the basis of your faith and biblical exegesis rests on this point - your salvation is credited to an innocent party dying for the guilty.

basically what you people are saying is...go out, hack someone to death, god the judge will absolve your crime(sin) if someone innocent is willing to be punished on your behalf.

does that make sense to you?

"we don't punish an innocent for someone else's unrighteousness"

pardon the error

similar, does it make sense to you one man sin and all sinned or became sinners?

the church teaches that we had inherited the sinful nature of adam, the old man. this is like saying, which is the reverse of what christ did for the guilty, that someone's crime or lawlessness became ours, though we are innocent,..and that makes sense to you?

yes for two reasons...one the word of God says so and two, the way the world is shows that there is something inherently wrong with man in his unregenerate formt..

your respond is quite troubling.

your entire faith is pivoted on lawlessness( an innocent punished in the place of the guilty). this belief has a very long tradition and are subscribed by millions. i expect no less a robust resistance if it is challenged.

furthermore, all your divine promises and blessings rest on the vicarious death of jesus. to accept the argument that god will never violate his divine laws to right a wrong will burst your bubble or fantasy thus, i can understand your difficulty to correct this theological stronghold in your mind.

however, there is another legitimate explanation, which do not contravene god's law, and that story will take too long to tell or explain.

but thanks for your honest admission anyway.

that said, i believe in the bible and jesus, but i don't believe in christianity - your religion.
