The message of the Kingdom

The message of the Kingdom is not the kingdom itself......it is the free gift of righteousness that comes to us through the cross of Jesus!

The Old Testament testifies to this this.......Rom 3:21.
Then Jesus, after He was ressurected, revealed it to Paul, who then went on to write 3/4 of the New Testament....

So then both testify....

Once a man truly understands that, the Kingdom (freedom, signs, wonders and miracles) will flow easily...

great post!!!!

i believe your statement 100% and follow your line of reasoning, however i think the very answer that your propose ('truly understanding') is at times what i struggle with, because:

1) how do you define understanding?
2) i think that too much conceptualising of the message of the kingdom (which is open to interpretation) results in confusion at times

therefore, in my opinion, it is merely about believing(faith)

Hey Dan thanks for the comment brewski.....

For me i guess its the same as the evolution vs creation debate....Rom 1:18 says that men "...suppress the truth...",because they dont want to believe God exists i.e. they are already biased in thier conclusion/arguments and so a lot of "confusion" over what is truth is generated....its the same with the message of the kingdom (which is the message of grace!)..people try to define the message of the Kingdom but "suppress the truth" about grace (why do they suppress it? because it means change for them, as believing God exists would mean change for the evolutionists)...so they suppress the truth about grace and and in doing so breed confusion regarding the message of the Kingdom... Most believers (am i generalising?) believe the NT (and OT) is a list of do do's and dont do's, musnt do's and must do's....all of which must or must not happen in order to please God!
